We are proud to announce that ICOSET 2014 Congress will be almost completely devoid of any paper! This is partly as a result of our desire to be ‘green’, but also because we recognise that this is a sensible direction of travel as we embrace the technological age. One day soon, all conferences will be delivered this way…
An independent developer, SpotMe, are providing the platform for the ASGBI Congress app. You will be provided with a link where you can download the app before the Congress starts.
If you do not have your own device, you can pay to rent an iPad along with your registration. The cost is £25 and covers rental for the duration of your attendance. The iPad will be available for you to collect at the registration desk and will be preloaded with the Congress app.
You will be able to rent an iPad on the day but we encourage you to pre-book as there will only be a limited amount available.
Please note that the Congress app will also work on most smartphones. However, the size and resolution may not be clear enough for you to benefit from the functionality.
By clicking ‘Register Now’ buttons below, you agree that you have read and understood this information and will either arrange to bring your own device or click to hire one on the next screen.
In affiliation with and hosted by the:
2014 International Surgical Congress of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI).
The International Conference on Surgical Education and Training (ICOSET) is pleased to announce details of its biennial event. We are delighted to be running alongside the 2014 ASGBI International Surgical Congress in Harrogate, and both events promise to be the best yet.
Key speakers at ICOSET include Professor Eduardo Salas (Trustee Chair and Professor of Psychology at the University of Central Florida) and Professor Richard Reznick (Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University, Ontario). We are also pleased to be joining with ASGBI for their annual Motivational Lecture, where Professor Atul Gawande will be speaking about making surgery safe.
This conference will be invaluable to all those involved with surgical training and will include symposia, debates and workshops featuring an international faculty, as well as free papers, posters and a hands-on “Innovation and Simulation Zone”.
